Finima being on an Island settlement off the
coast of West Africa's Nigerian nation is naturally safe and secure
from most criminal activities found on mainland communities. Security is
good and provided by the Law Enforcement Agencies especially the
Police. There had been only one reported incident of hostage taking
but this is a very isolated incident as the perpetrators acted more
for personal gain than the main stream militants who appear to
advance the course of the oppressed and deprived citizens of
Nigeria's Niger Delta which produce over 95% of Nigeria's Oil and
Gas Exports
In Finima town, the security situation is normal. No violent report
on the visitors or foreigners nor kidnapping of any sort except the
incident earlier mentioned. The people
of Finima town are peaceful, friendly and hospitable. This is the reason the
town is regarded as one of the most quiet areas in the heart of Nigeria's Delta Region.
In addition, various companies
in Finima town maintain private security outfits to further beef-up
overall security measures to deal with any cases of threat to Law and Order.
We therefore encourage investors both foreign and local who are willing
to do business in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria to visit our
community and experience the peaceful nature of the
Finima people.
